Lessons from 'Son of an Immigrant'




After listening to the assembly by Ms Joan Yap, author of 'Son of an Immigrant', what lesson(s) have you learnt?

  1. I have learnt not to be a ice cube in hot water that is never to be very depressed after something bad happens.I must always persevere and try to do the best always.:D

  2. I learned that I should persevere and be determined in every things we do. Even if we encountered problem or fear we should try to do or help something about it and try not to stay or hide in any problem or fear because that would make it even worse.
    When I failed my Maths,I really felt very depressed on it that I began to lose hope but thanks to the assembly-talk,to my friends and to the teachers.I must study harder and to believe in myself.

  3. I learn that we sould perservere and not give up when we encounter problems in our daily life. I will perservere and continue to study hard.

  4. I learnt to be independent and not to give up easily when facing a problem. We should make the problem better by finding a way to solve it and not to just leave it alone.
